Dedication from DJ's Mum

This is a dedication to my angel on earth.
He was a miracle to his father and I, and we adored him from the moment he was loaned to us.
DJ was one of a kind, he was an old soul in a young vibrant body, wise beyond his years…
He was full of laughter, warmth and kindness.
He was a true friend to so many.
His baby sister Kai adored her brother and he protected her always, as he will continue to do.
DJ taught so many of us lessons that will live on forever.
Even in his tragic death he gave so much, he gave his organs, and one of his dear teachers shared this with me:

Give my heart: to a person whose own heart has caused nothing but endless days of pain.
Give my kidneys: to one who depends on a machine to exist from week to week.
Take my bones; every muscle, every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child walk.
If by chance, you wish to remember me, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you.
If you do that I will live on through each of you.

As his mum, I ask you to never forget to kiss your kids, tell them you love them and support their dreams.
DJ will always be my best friend and a true miracle on earth.

We will be together again…
