Eulogy from George Braun

I came to meet DJ in 5th grade. I had no classes with him, but we hung out with similar people. My friend Josh from elementary school hung out with people DJ did at lunch, and that’s how we met; through the chain of friendships and soon we grew a bond that could not be broken. We had a lot of things in common. We both were into sports, video games, and the usual stuff most guys are notorious for. DJ was unlike most by far, always helping out in whatever way he could, from a pat on the back to standing up for you. He is definitely placed amongst the greatest of the great. Thinking back I remember all those times we’d treck into the woods dressed in camo with our toy guns pretending to be in the army. Those were some of the best times we had. Sure we got teased a little for it, but we didn’t care. He was a kid with dreams of being something big…something great…and I think he has accomplished that by being a motivator, supporter, someone you could trust with your life. I remember a year later we vowed to stick with each other till the end, and to this day we’ve never broken that vow.

I’ll miss ya man…
